In less than 30 minutes I had the look I wanted & I was ready to plant my pretty flowers!

What You'll Need

  • Terracotta Pots (I got min for just under $1.25 at Home Depot.)
  • Chalk Paint (Color in Everlasting. Just under $9.00 or less with 40% coupon at Hobby Lobby!)
  • Small Paint Brush
  • Light Grit Sand Paper
  • Wet Paper Towel

Steps

  1. Dampen the edge of your paint brush with the Paper Towel.
  2. Dip brush in paint
  3. Use the lid or something to get any excess paint off. You do not want a lot of paint on the brush.
  4. Run paint brush lightly in a few areas.
  5. Then use paint brush to spread paint over this area. Go back and forth Quickly after you have put paint on. (If your paint does not spread easily make brush wet again.)
  6. Repeat these steps until you have gone around the whole pot.
Tips: Make sure you dab your paint on in different areas and not in a straight line. This will prevent a line of really heavy Paint. However, If you have areas that are heavy or need more distressing just take a light grit sand paper and distress them to your liking.

How to Make Found & Free Items Work in Your Space!

Who loves the words Found, Free, Vintage, & Charm?!?! Me... Me... Me!!! See how we made these found items work in our master bedroom.

Picture
I love junking, antiquing, and barn sales, but when you find things in your own barn you can reuse... I may just get a wee bit giddy! Ammo boxes! I obviously would love these little boxes as they are old, crate like, and did I say old?! The Mr. has been revamping our pole barn to include a workshop for all seasons and these things were all along the walls as shelves. (An equally cool idea y'all) How cute would an ammo box shelf be in a bathroom?)

This little space needed something! It is the only thing you see from the hallway looking in to our bedroom.  I just stacked them on top of each other, added a basket where I toss my extra pillows, my adorable mason jar Scentsey warmer (Kirb calls them fire hazards bahaha) and it adds a cute new height to the room. Not to mention these perfect floating shelves from Decor Steals!

What do you think?!  Make out of the ordinary items a feature in your home! :D Thanks for reading and stay sweet, Amanda Lauren.
