A Thank You and Some Big News!

Hello Y’all,
Can I just say that we have some awesome friends, family, supporters, encouragers, and customers! I last wrote on our Thanksgiving table and my need to slow down from getting festive for Christmas and remember to be thankful. I guess this was his plan because I learned just how thankful I am and just how blessed we can be.  If you follow us on any social media you saw that we did our first big craft fair!!! It was a family event and all the P’s and their husbands were hard at work. The show was wildly successful. We got to meet great new people who had so many kind words about our items and booth. This alone would have made our day but on top of this we were so picked over the first day we went home and made some more great items.  A huge thank you to all who visited, bought items, liked our posts, shared kind words, or were just there for us through our first year as Sweet P’s Décor! As if I couldn’t contain my happiness from the fun weekend with my mother-n-law and sister-n-law a cherry on top was added as I got news that I will get the opportunity to represent our blog as a guest blogger for Everything Home Magazine!!!!

I never thought when we started this website that anything like this would happen. I had never blogged in my life and honestly never read too many, but it has become a favorite part of my life and I can’t wait to be able to share it with their audience. I will post more on where you can find our post soon. (I will list the link to Everything Home Magazine below.) Go check out their November issue and of course if you love it as much as I do sign up to get every single one! Again thank you for reading this and joining us this weekend. We are blessed beyond belief! Here are a few pictures from our show below.
Stay Sweet,
Amanda Lauren

A Table Fit for a Feast!

It is almost here… that day where all the family comes together to watch some football…. OH and stuff ourselves full of  wonderfully prepared food! Now let’s get to the part that design or host enthusiast like!!! TABLESCAPING!!!! With the urge to put out Christmas already so strong I needed to be reminded I have much to be thankful for before decking the halls! So I decided to focus my efforts on a table fit for a feast.  When tablescaping you don’t have to have just one focal point such as a center piece… as you can see I have many little areas that draw your attention with the largest in the center.

I know what you are thinking, where is all that food going to go??? Let’s all be honest here, by time all the family is at the table with their plates and drinks is there really that much room for a full bird on there?!?!?! Not in our family, so form a line kiddos because we have chosen the pretties over the bird.

Make sure when choosing your items you pay attention to height as you don’t want things to be so tall that you can’t see your family on the other side. But if that’s your strategy because it’s one of those days and you just can’t take another story from you know who (we all have them in our families) then by all means throw up a tree in the middle. :P
