Making Standard Shelf Items Unique

When Kirby and I lived in our "tiny home" barn apartment we had to get creative with storage!!! When I found this little cart by, Better Homes and Garden, at Walmart, I thought it would be a great kitchen Island doubling as a a PANTRY haha. It needed more surface area for the counter and it just wasn't my style.  The light wood look didn't go!  I had the perfect fix for this. 

Enter Kirby, me rambling ideas, and out comes this awesome one of a kind cart! He gets me and makes all my crazy ideas happen! This galvanized lid was a leftover from another project. I found it at a local antique store.  I know not everyone has a galvanized lid laying around like me... so another idea would be to add a few pieces of pallet wood to the top!  Now our little island has found a new home in our big house.  It is the perfect entry way table being both cute and functional.  If you love to repurpose  old items and make them new we want to see them!  As always thanks for stopping by and stay sweet!
