Walking past a sign that I made for my Dad (Happy Birthday Dad!!!), I start to think about the scripture written, Jeremiah 29:11,” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord “PLANS to prosper you and NOT to harm you, PLANS TO GIVE YOU HOPE & a FUTURE” I’ve heard this scripture a million times and it is a favorite but it is very easy to only look forward and forget to look at what has done for you up to the present. This scripture is true today just as it was eight years ago. Reflecting on this, my life is not at all what I would have described it would look like eight years ago. Had you asked me then I would had said, “I hope to be in New York singing on a stage, living amongst the busy streets, bright lights, and of corse I’ll have an ultra-modern loft.” I loved being on stage and most who came to see any show I was in would say I came alive when the curtains opened. So where does any wannabe Broadway star think they will live?!?! Yup… The City that never sleeps, NEW YORK. I loved New York, the people, the lights, the hustle, the ability to watch a musical every day! But boy did God have different plans for me.
